WHERE IT STARTED... Dali's ridden on my shoulder since he was a kitten. For a while, it was perfect—just the two of us exploring London together. Then he grew. His claws started making holes in my t-shirts as he struggled to hold on and balance. He was heavier and harder to carry comfortably on longer walks. I tried carriers. Lots of them. They worked fine for trains or specific situations, but for everyday walks I'd be lugging the carrier around on top of everything else, and Dali was stuck in a bag, cooped up, not really experiencing anything and definitely not having fun. Every outing became a calculation. Could I manage the weight? Would my shirt survive? Was it worth the hassle? All these obstacles between us and just... going.
So I had to figure out a real solution. Something that let him ride on my shoulder comfortably without shredding my clothes, that distributed his weight properly and made him easy to carry. Something that removed all the friction. Four years later, after countless improvements and real-world testing, the Cat Rider exists. A shoulder platform system that actually solves the problem.
Now we just go. No worrying about ruined clothes, no lugging carriers, no calculating whether it's worth it. Just me and Dali, out the door, walking through Hampstead together. The way it should be.
